Kaddish, winter pomegranate. Even in winter, when the leaves turn yellow on the pomegranate tree in my yard, sometimes fruit remains, reminding me of the sweetness that came before and is yet to come.
Chesed/lovingkindness` such a beautiful word to combine with the name of the rabbi who was leaving the desert for a different climate and congregation. This scarf was commissioned as a going away gift by the temple brotherhood, who asked for a saguaro and cactus in bloom.
Emet/truth commissioned as a gift between old friends. This was ot a surprise, so when I asked if there was an important word that she wanted included, she chose emet. Depending how the scarf is placed, the word sits across her throat where she can speak her truth.
Chesed and turtles commissioned by a thoughtful husband for his wife, because he sees her as the essence of lovingkindness manifested in her charitable deeds.
